How does the service work?
Specialty Books, in partnership with a national used book wholesaler, may offer to purchase your books at a nationally established price. We’ll give you a quote on buyback prices, and you can decide if you would like to sell us your books.

How much do I get for my books?
The value of your textbooks is determined by national wholesalers and depends on several factors. National demand for a particular title is a major factor in determining the buyback value. The condition of the book also affects the value. If pages are missing or damaged, or the cover is damaged, the book will have little resale value.

• Call, e-mail or go online for specific buyback price information and a return authorization number.
• To get a buyback price on any book, you will need to provide the book’s 10 - or 13-digit ISBN. It appears on your original book purchase invoice and frequently on the back of the book as well. Please note that you should not submit any ISBN that is located on the inside cover of your textbook.
• Some books require the return of the CD, access code, or other material that came with the book in order to receive the buyback value.
• Specialty Books also reserves the right to determine any books with excessive marking or highlighting as damaged, at which time these books will be returned to you.
• Complete the Buyback Form found below or in the sidebar.
• Package your books along with the completed buyback form–be sure to include your authorization number. Ship package to:

Specialty Books will process your buyback and send a check within fourteen days of receipt of your books.
